Job Summary
The Commi is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting chefs in daily kitchen operations. The role ensures quality food preparation while following hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist chefs in basic food preparation such as cutting vegetables, preparing ingredients, and cooking simple dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area at all times.
Follow standard recipes and portion sizes as instructed by the chef.
Ensure proper storage of food items as per safety guidelines.
Support chefs during busy hours and peak operations.
Check and maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI guidelines).
Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards while on duty.
Assist in receiving and storing raw materials and supplies.
Work as a team member and support other kitchen staff when required.

Qualification
Minimum 12th Pass
Diploma or certification in Hotel Management / Culinary (Preferred)
Experience
0–2 years of experience in kitchen or food preparation
Freshers with basic cooking knowledge can also apply
Working Conditions
Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
Standing for long hours
Working in a hot kitchen environment
