Job Title: Cook
Responsibilities:
Prepare all main course orders accurately and timely.
Handle food preparation in advance to ensure smooth order execution.
Prepare mise-en-place (miza) for faster service.
Work with kitchen helpers to manage food prep and mise-en-place efficiently.
Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment (knives, pans, kitchen scales, etc.).
Follow and continuously check recipes for quality and consistency.
Modify recipes slightly to meet customer requests (e.g., less salt, no dairy, Jain food).
Monitor food stock levels and place orders when required.
Maintain compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations in the kitchen area.
Salary Range - 20,000 to 25,000 (based on experience and interview)
Knowledge of cooking methods (boiling, frying, sautéing, baking, grilling, steaming).
Recipe knowledge and ability to follow standardized recipes.
Portioning and plating for consistent quality and presentation
Identifying and handling vegetables, grains, pulses, spices, and condiments.
Proper soaking, marination, cutting, chopping, and grinding techniques.
Understanding of Jain, vegan, low-salt, and other special dietary needs.
Correct food storage
Avoiding food wastage.
Basic knowledge of stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out).
Flexibility to modify dishes as per customer requests (Jain, vegan, low oil, less spicy)
3 years + experience in cloud kitchen or restaurant
