FULL-TIME COOK – GUEST HOUSE

Position: Full-Time Cook

Workplace: Guest House / Boutique Guest House

Guest Capacity: Approximately 15–18 guests

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Full-Time Cook to manage the daily kitchen operations of our guest house. The cook will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for approximately 15–18 guests, while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, cleanliness, and food quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh and hygienic breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests.

- Handle food preparation and cooking for 15–18 guests at a time.

- Prepare a variety of Indian and basic continental dishes as required.

- Plan daily meals and manage ingredients efficiently to minimize wastage.

- Maintain consistent taste, quality, and presentation of food.

- Ensure timely preparation and service according to guest requirements.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas.

- Check the quality and freshness of vegetables, groceries, dairy products, and other ingredients.

- Maintain proper food storage and avoid unnecessary wastage.

- Coordinate with guest house management regarding guest preferences, special meal requests, and menu requirements.

- Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Cook/Chef in a Guest House, Hotel, B&B, Homestay, or similar establishment preferred.

- Should be capable of independently managing cooking for 15–18 guests.

- Good knowledge of Indian home-style food and common hotel/guest-house dishes.

- Ability to manage breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparation independently.

- Clean, disciplined, punctual, and trustworthy.

- Ability to work under pressure during busy meal times.

- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

- References from previous employers will be an advantage.

Working Expectations

The candidate should be comfortable working as the primary cook, managing the kitchen from preparation to serving and cleaning, with assistance if provided by the guest house.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: ₹18,000.00 per month, depending on experience and skills

Food: 3000.00

Accommodation: 3000.00

Weekly Off: 4
