Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing continental dishes such as pasta, grilled items, sauces, soups, and salads.
Follow recipes and instructions given by the Chef de Partie.
Prepare mise en place (cutting vegetables, marinating meats, preparing sauces).
Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
Ensure proper food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Store food items properly and follow FIFO (First In First Out) method.
Assist senior chefs during busy service hours.
Check stock levels and inform seniors about required ingredients.
Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
Support the kitchen team in daily food preparation and operations.
Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of continental cuisine
Knife skills and food preparation techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
Teamwork and discipline
Knowledge of food hygiene standards
Experience:
1–3 years kitchen experience
Previous experience as Commis II or Kitchen Helper preferred.
