Job Title: Commis 3 Chef
Department: Kitchen / Food Production
Reports To: Sous Chef / CDP (Chef de Partie)
Job Summary
A Commis 3 Chef assists in the preparation and cooking of food while maintaining kitchen hygiene and quality standards. The role involves supporting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensuring timely food preparation as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and basic cooking tasks as assigned by senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
Support in receiving and checking kitchen inventory and supplies.
Prepare mise en place for daily kitchen operations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control practices.
Follow instructions from Sous Chef and Head Chef efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
Education & Experience
Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
0–2 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or cloud kitchen.
Salary Range
As per industry standards and experience.
Working Conditions
Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand for long hours and work under pressure.
