Job Description – QSR / Fast Food Chef

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and energetic QSR / Fast Food Chef who can independently handle the preparation of a variety of fast-food items in a high-volume kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing rolls, wraps, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and related fast-food items, with good knowledge of food preparation, sauces, fillings, portion control and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook rolls, wraps, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and other QSR products.

- Handle daily food preparation, including sauces, fillings, toppings, marinades and other ingredients.

- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation and portion size.

- Manage food preparation efficiently during high-volume orders.

- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, tandoor and other QSR equipment.

- Follow standardized recipes and maintain proper portion control.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and prepared food.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.

- Monitor stock and inform the supervisor about ingredient requirements.

- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper FIFO practices.

- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time.

- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.

- Assist in developing and improving new menu items, recipes and fillings when required.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in fast food/QSR kitchen operations.

- Good knowledge of rolls & wraps, pizza, burgers and sandwiches.

- Ability to work quickly and efficiently during rush hours.

- Good understanding of sauces, fillings, toppings and food preparation.

- Knowledge of portion control and recipe standardization.

- Good hygiene and kitchen-management practices.

- Ability to work as part of a team.

- Willingness to learn and introduce new products/menu items.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in QSR, fast-food outlets, cafés, cloud kitchens, food chains or street-food brands will be preferred.

Experience in new product development / menu innovation (R&D) will be an added advantage.

Key Requirement

We are looking for someone who can independently manage the preparation of multiple QSR products, rather than a chef specialized in only one item.
