JOB DESCRIPTION – CONTINENTAL CHEF

Job Title: Continental Chef

Location: Bangalore

Department: Operations – Kitchen

Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor / Store Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Continental Chef to prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes while maintaining food quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per company recipes and standards.

Handle food preparation, cutting, chopping, marination, and cooking.

Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.

Follow food safety and hygiene standards as per FSSAI guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.

Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.

Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor about requirements.

Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Support the kitchen team during busy hours.

Follow opening, closing, and cleaning checklists.

Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.

Requirements 2–5 years of experience as a Continental Chef or similar role.

Good knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education Minimum 10th / 12th pass. Hotel Management / Culinary qualification preferred.

Salary As per company standards and experience level.
