We are hiring for Chef De Partie (CDP)
Work Location: Kitchen
Reporting To: Head Chef
Location: Lulla Nagar, Bunb Gareden, Shivaji Nagar
Job Role:
You will be in charge of one kitchen section and ensure smooth daily operations, food quality, hygiene, and team handling.
Main Responsibilities:
🍳 Kitchen Operations
Handle complete responsibility of your kitchen section
Come on time in clean uniform, shoes & head cap
Switch on and check gas, ovens & equipment
Inform Head Chef if any machine is not working
Check previous day food (mise-en-place) is fresh and usable
🥕 Preparation & Cooking
Plan and prepare daily food as per menu (buffet & à la carte)
Arrange all raw materials and utensils
Ensure no excess preparation to avoid wastage
Follow correct cooking methods and recipes
Taste food to maintain quality and consistency
📦 Stock & Inventory
Check quality of raw materials received
Coordinate with store for required items
Fill requisition for stock on time
Avoid shortage or overstock
Return poor quality items if required
👨🍳 Team Handling
Guide and supervise Commis & kitchen helpers
Assign work to team members
Train juniors on cooking, hygiene & kitchen processes
Ensure smooth work even during your off days
🍽️ Service & Quality
Ensure proper food plating and presentation
Follow standard portion size
Prepare and serve orders as per KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket)
Inform team if any dish is not available
🧼 Hygiene & Cleanliness
Maintain clean kitchen and work area
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
Store food items properly after use
Ensure proper closing of kitchen section
📊 Reports & Checklist
Maintain daily records like:
Food tasting
Wastage report
Cleaning checklist
Fridge storage
Plan next day preparation
Give proper handover to Head Chef
Basic Requirements:
Experience as Commi I / II or CDP in hotel/restaurant
Good knowledge of cooking & kitchen operations
Ability to handle a team
Focus on quality, hygiene & cost control
