About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and versatile Chef + Resort Caretaker who can independently manage the kitchen as well as take care of basic resort operations when there is less kitchen workload.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a peaceful, nature-based resort environment and should have a responsible, hands-on attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen / Chef Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for guests and staff.

• Maintain food quality, taste, hygiene and cleanliness.

• Manage kitchen inventory and inform about required groceries.

• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper storage.

• Keep the kitchen and cooking area clean and organized.

• Prepare Indian and basic North Indian dishes.

• Handle guest-specific food requirements whenever required.

Resort Caretaking Responsibilities

• Take care of the overall cleanliness and basic upkeep of the resort.

• Check rooms, common areas, garden/outdoor areas and other facilities.

• Ensure basic maintenance issues are identified and reported on time.

• Coordinate with housekeeping/support staff when required.

• Help with guest requirements and basic guest support.

• Keep an eye on resort property, equipment and supplies.

• Ensure the resort remains clean, safe and well-maintained during low-occupancy periods.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef/Cook preferred.

• Basic knowledge of Indian/North Indian cuisine.

• Should be clean, hygienic and organized.

• Should be responsible, trustworthy and hardworking.

• Must be comfortable with multitasking.

• Should be willing to handle basic resort-care responsibilities when kitchen work is less.

• Experience in a resort, homestay, hotel or guest house will be an advantage.

• Basic communication skills in Hindi required; English is an advantage.

Important

This is a combined Chef + Resort Caretaker role, not a chef-only position.

When guest occupancy and kitchen work are high, the primary responsibility will be cooking and kitchen management. During low occupancy or when kitchen work is less, the candidate will be expected to help with basic resort upkeep, cleanliness, checking rooms/common areas and general property care.
