We are opening a new cafe and are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to lead kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have formal culinary training, hands-on cafe or restaurant experience, and the ability to maintain food quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present cafe menu items with consistent taste and quality
Plan and develop menu items as per café theme and customer preference
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness as per FSSAI standards
Manage kitchen operations, inventory, and raw material usage
Control food costs and minimize wastage
Coordinate with management for menu updates and pricing
Supervise kitchen helpers (if any) and maintain discipline
Ensure timely food preparation during peak hours
Required Qualifications:
Degree / Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (mandatory)
2–5 years of relevant experience in a café, restaurant, or cloud kitchen
Good knowledge of cafe-style food (continental, fast food, snacks, etc.)
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure and manage kitchen workflow
Preferred Skills:
Creativity in menu planning and presentation
Time management and multitasking skills
Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control
