Cake Maker

1. Design & Preparation

• Mixing & Prep: Preparing various frostings, buttercreams, fondants, and fillings from scratch or established recipes.

• Cake Assembly: Leveling, stacking, and layering cakes, and applying crumb coats and flawless smooth bases.

• Decorating: Creating intricate designs using piping bags, modeling tools, edible images, airbrushes, and sugarcraft.

• Customization: Sculpting, molding, and coloring to match specific customer themes or event requirements. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

2. Client Consultation & Sales

• Consultations: Meeting or speaking with clients to discuss their vision, themes, and design preferences for specialty cakes.

• Pricing & Estimates: Providing cost estimates, discussing budgets, and outlining the feasibility of certain custom designs.

• Sketching: Creating preliminary drawings or mockups so clients can approve the aesthetic before the cake is made.

• Display & Merchandising: Keeping display cases fully stocked with attractive, ready-to-sell cakes and daily samples. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

3. Kitchen Operations & Food Safety

• Sanitation: Maintaining a clean and highly organized workspace, ensuring all decorating tools and piping tips are sanitized.

• Inventory Management: Tracking stock levels, checking the shelf life of colors and decorations, and ordering necessary supplies.

• Packaging: Properly and safely packaging, weighing, and pricing baked goods for sale, pickup, or delivery.
