About the Role
Miratci is looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and supervising all kitchen operations.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes across all menu items.
Prepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes and quality specifications.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage practices.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and ensure compliance with FSSAI food safety standards.
Oversee mise en place and ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management and ordering.
Minimize food wastage through effective planning and portion control.
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
Ensure equipment is used safely and report maintenance requirements promptly.
Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely order execution and guest satisfaction.
Support menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe standardization.
Handle guest feedback related to food quality and implement corrective actions.
Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in Pan-Asian cuisine is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
