### Job Summary
We are seeking an aggressive, commercially sharp **Purchase Manager** to lead our Pan-India procurement and sourcing operations. In this role, your primary objective is to maximize trading profit margins by leveraging exceptional negotiation skills, establishing rock-solid manufacturer relationships, and optimizing interstate supply chains. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced trading environment, possesses a deep understanding of heavy machinery and packaging sourcing hubs, and knows how to close highly profitable vendor contracts.
### Key Responsibilities
* **Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:** Identify, audit, and onboard high-potential packaging and machinery manufacturers across major Indian industrial hubs; maintain an agile vendor network to guarantee business continuity.
* **Aggressive Negotiation:** Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations regarding unit pricing, credit periods, and payment terms to consistently lower procurement costs and maximize company margins.
* **Logistics & Compliance Oversight:** Manage the full Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle and collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate smooth, cost-effective interstate transit of heavy machinery and bulk materials, ensuring strict compliance with GST and e-way bill regulations.
* **Demand Forecasting & Inventory Control:** Work alongside the sales team to analyze Pan-India demand trends, timing bulk purchases perfectly to prevent stockouts while avoiding over-inventory.
### Requirements & Qualifications
* **Experience:** 5 to 8 years of proven procurement or sourcing experience specifically within industrial machinery, packaging materials, or engineering goods trading.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical/Production Engineering. An MBA in Logistics or Supply Chain is a major advantage.
* **Skills:** Mastery in commercial contract negotiation, sharp market analysis, and proficiency in ERP software (SAP, Tally) and advanced MS Excel.
* **Geographical Insight:** In-depth knowledge of India's manufacturing landscape and trade routes across key states.
