Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Manager to lead our procurement functions. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality ingredients and packaging materials while managing vendor relationships to ensure our production team has everything they need to maintain our "Seed-to-Shelf" quality standards. You will play a critical part in balancing cost-efficiency with the premium quality our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials (chocolate, flour, dairy) and specialized packaging.

• Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute purchasing plans that ensure a steady supply of inventory while minimizing wastage.

• Price Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to stay within budget without compromising on ingredient authenticity.

• Inventory Control: Partner with the production and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and ensure timely reordering.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of incoming materials to ensure they meet our strict food safety and craft standards.

• Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate digital records of all purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements with 100% precision.

Required Technical Skills

• Inventory Management Software: Proficiency in using POS systems (experience with RISTA POS is a plus) or ERP software to track stock.

• Sourcing Expertise: Strong knowledge of the F&B supply chain and raw material markets in Bengaluru.

• Data Analysis: Ability to use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to track spending trends and inventory turnover.

• Market Research: Skill in conducting price benchmarking and finding alternative high-quality vendors.

Soft Skills

• Negotiation: A firm but fair communicator who can build long-term, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve supply chain disruptions or quality issues quickly to prevent production delays.

• Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple delivery schedules simultaneously.

• Ethical Conduct: Maintains the highest level of integrity in all financial dealings and vendor interactions.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA is preferred).

• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the F&B, hospitality, or FMCG industry.

Salary Benchmark

• Monthly In-hand: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 (Based on experience and skill set).
