Procurement & Sourcing
Source and procure packaging materials such as bottles, jars, tubes, caps, pumps, droppers, cartons, labels, shrink sleeves, and corrugated boxes.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of packaging materials to support production schedules.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
Develop alternative suppliers to reduce procurement risks.
Coordinate supplier audits and compliance checks.
Cost Management
Monitor packaging material costs and market trends.
Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
Analyze procurement data and prepare cost comparison reports.
Inventory & Planning
Collaborate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to forecast packaging requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability.
Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory through effective procurement planning.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all packaging materials meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material approvals and issue resolution.
Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with R&D, marketing, production, and quality departments for new product launches and packaging developments.
Support packaging innovation and sustainability initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Packaging Technology, Engineering, or related field.
MBA/Specialization in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred.
Experience
5–10 years of procurement experience in the cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or packaging industry.
Minimum 3 years in a managerial procurement role.
Experience handling cosmetic packaging materials is highly preferred.
Required Skills
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of cosmetic packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
Expertise in procurement planning and inventory control.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.

Understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements.
