Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Purchase / Procurement Executive for our EPC organization who has strong technical knowledge of mechanical materials and equipment used in project execution. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor development, cost control, and timely availability of materials for projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement of mechanical materials and equipment for EPC projects.

• Study BOQ, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements before initiating purchase.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for mechanical materials.

• Obtain RFQ, quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparisons.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, warranty, and payment terms with vendors.

• Issue and track Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of materials at site.

• Coordinate with engineering, project, planning, and stores teams for procurement planning.

• Ensure materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

• Monitor project procurement schedules to avoid delays in project execution.

• Maintain vendor database, procurement records, and documentation.

• Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.

Technical Knowledge Required

Candidate should have knowledge of procurement related to:

• HVAC systems and equipment

• Pumps, compressors, and motors

• Piping materials (CS, SS, GI, HDPE, etc.)

• Valves, flanges, fittings

• Ducting and insulation materials

• Fire fighting systems

• Plumbing systems

• Structural mechanical items

Required Skills

• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems in EPC projects

• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOQ

• Strong vendor negotiation and cost analysis skills

• Strong communication and coordination skills

Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EPC / MEP / Infrastructure / Industrial projects

• Knowledge of project procurement cycle

• Experience handling large project purchase orders
