Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and organized Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for solar projects and office/operational requirements. The candidate will be responsible for vendor coordination, quotation comparison, purchase orders, material availability, cost negotiation, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for solar and electrical materials.

Source materials such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables, structures, MC4 connectors, DC/AC components, electrical accessories and tools.

Collect and compare quotations from multiple vendors.

Negotiate price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).

Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate with stores, accounts, sales, projects and service teams regarding material requirements.

Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, POs and invoices.

Verify material specifications, quantity and quality before/after delivery.

Monitor pending orders and ensure minimum stock requirements are maintained.

Handle vendor complaints, replacement and material-related issues.

Develop new vendors and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

Track market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Ensure procurement is done as per company requirements and approved budgets.

Required Skills

Good vendor negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of solar, electrical and electronic products.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Good analytical and price-comparison skills.

Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements simultaneously.

Knowledge of purchase documentation, PO and invoice processes.

Ability to work under deadlines.

Qualification

Graduate / Diploma / B.Com / B.E. / ITI with relevant purchase/procurement experience.

Preferred Candidate

Experience in Solar EPC, Solar Distribution, Electrical, Battery, UPS or Renewable Energy industry.

Knowledge of local and online supplier markets.

Immediate joiners preferred.
