Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing store performance data, including sales, footfall, and operational metrics, to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. The role involves identifying inefficiencies, developing data-driven solutions, and supporting strategic initiatives through dashboards and management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse store performance, footfall trends, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports for management review.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and improve overall store efficiency.
Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate, average bill value, and sales per sq. ft.
Collaborate with store operations, marketing, and procurement teams to align data insights with business goals.
Perform trend analysis and forecasting to support inventory and sales planning.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reports.
Present analytical findings in a clear, concise manner to management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
Proven experience (2–5 years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of retail KPIs, footfall analytics, and sales performance metrics.
Experience in forecasting models and trend analysis.
Understanding of POS systems and retail data structures.
