Job description:
Some key responsibilities of an EA to a Director include:
Scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments for the Director
Managing the Director's email, mail, and phone calls
Organizing and maintaining the Director's files and documents
Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
Arranging travel and accommodations for the Director
Acting as a liaison between the Director and other departments or external stakeholders
Assisting the Director in the preparation of budgets and other financial reports
Acting as a gatekeeper, determining which matters the Director should be involved in, and managing the Director's time accordingly
Providing support and assistance to the Director in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
The EA may also be responsible for providing support to other members of the executive team as needed and may have some supervision over other administrative staff. The job requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality, as the EA may have access to sensitive information and must be able to handle it appropriately. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
