Position: Data Entry Operator (Contract Basis)

Location: Padi, Chennai

Department: Production / Stores / Quality (as applicable)

Employment Type: Contract (Fixed Term)

Reporting To: Department Supervisor / Project Manager

1. Job Summary

TVS Sundram Fasteners Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Operator on a contract basis for its Padi plant. The role involves accurate data entry, maintaining records, and supporting operational departments with timely and reliable information to ensure smooth factory operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter production, inventory, dispatch, and quality-related data into ERP systems and internal databases.

Verify, cross-check, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Maintain proper documentation and records in both physical and electronic formats.

Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Coordinate with shop floor teams, stores, and quality departments for data collection and clarification.

Perform routine data audits and resolve discrepancies when identified.

Ensure confidentiality and security of company data at all times.

Support administrative and documentation-related activities as assigned by the reporting manager.

3. Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Diploma or Any Graduate from a recognized institution.

0–6 months of experience in data entry or similar roles (Freshers may also apply).

Exposure to a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with factory processes is preferred.

4. Skills & Competencies

Good typing speed with a high level of accuracy.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and data entry systems.

Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Tally preferred).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Good communication and coordination skills.

5. Contract Details

Duration: Fixed-term contract (extendable based on performance and business requirements)

Working Hours: As per factory shift schedule

Shift 1: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

Shift 2: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Work Location: TVS Sundram Fasteners Limited, Padi, Chennai

Compensation: As per company contract norms

6. General Requirements

Willingness to work in a factory/shop-floor environment.

Flexibility to work in rotational shifts if required.

Strong work ethic, discipline, and reliability.
