Key Responsibilities
Manage the organization's assets, commodities, equipment, and other physical resources.
Maintain accurate records and an updated database of all assets.
Carry out asset tagging and identification to ensure proper tracking and accountability.
Track the movement, transfer, allocation, and location of assets across different sites or departments.
Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation of assets with recorded information.
Coordinate the movement and transportation of assets between locations as required.
Be willing to travel to different locations/sites for asset verification, tracking, and management activities.
Maintain proper documentation for asset allocation, transfer, movement, receipt, and disposal.
Monitor the condition and utilization of assets and report discrepancies, damages, losses, or missing assets.
Assist in determining and maintaining accurate asset valuations based on available records and applicable processes.
Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders for asset identification, verification, movement, and reconciliation.
Prepare periodic asset reports, movement reports, valuation statements, and management updates.
Identify discrepancies between physical assets and records and coordinate appropriate corrective action.
Ensure proper control and accountability of company assets throughout their lifecycle.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of asset-related information and documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of asset management, inventory control, and asset tracking.
Good knowledge of asset tagging, identification, movement, and reconciliation processes.
Ability to conduct physical verification of assets and maintain accurate records.
Basic understanding of asset valuation and depreciation.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and asset/inventory management systems.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments and locations.
Willingness and ability to travel as required for asset-related activities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Candidates with relevant experience in asset management, inventory management, equipment management, or logistics will be preferred.
