`ROLE SPECIFICATIONS Role name Modular Kitchen Designer Location Visakhapatnam ROLE PURPOSE We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Modular Kitchen Sales cum Designer who can design functional, aesthetic, and customized kitchen layouts while engaging customers effectively to convert leads into business. The role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing 2D/3D designs, and coordinating with vendors, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth execution of projects. ROLE DESCRIPTION Customer Engagement & Lead Conversion • Interact with walk-in, referred, and lead-generated customers to understand needs and budget. • Present design concepts confidently, handle objections, and close sales. • Follow up with potential leads and convert them into confirmed orders. • Design & Planning • Create modular kitchen designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, or similar tools. • Prepare 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities). • Ensure designs are ergonomic, space-efficient, and aligned with client preferences. • Quotation Preparation & Pricing o Prepare detailed quotations based on design, material selection, finishes, hardware, and appliances. o Explain costing to customers in a clear and transparent manner. o Revise and update quotes as per customer modifications or negotiations. o Ensure quotes are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company margins. • Project Coordination • Take accurate site measurements and conduct feasibility checks. • Coordinate with vendors, factory, and site teams for production and installation. • Ensure timely delivery and high-quality execution. • Customer Experience o Provide end-to-end consultation from design to final installation. o Maintain regular communication with clients and address post-sale service issues. o Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships for referrals and repeat business. • Market Knowledge o Stay updated on latest design trends, finishes, appliances, and accessories. o Suggest innovative solutions that enhance customer lifestyle and kitchen utility. Key Skills & Competencies • Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or related field. • 1–5 years of experience in modular kitchen designing or interior designing. • Good knowledge of materials, finishes, kitchen fittings, and appliances. • Strong visualization and attention to detail. • Customer-centric, sales-oriented mindset with problem-solving ability. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or related field. Experience: • 1–5 years of experience in modular kitchen designing or interior designing. • Experience in customer-facing retail/home furnishing roles preferred.
