Tally Executive

Location: Maheshtala Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 1–3 years Joining: Immediate

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tally Executive to independently manage our day-to-day accounting and compliance operations on Tally Prime. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in end-to-end accounting — from purchase and sales entries to GST-compliant billing, e-invoicing, and reconciliation with the GST portal.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete purchase tracking — recording purchase orders, purchase bills, and vendor ledgers in Tally

• Generate sales invoices, purchase bills, and credit/debit notes accurately in Tally

• Generate and manage e-Invoices and e-Way Bills, ensuring proper linkage with GST portal (IRN, QR code, etc.)

• Handle GST return filing support — GSTR-1, GSTR-3B data preparation and reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B

• Perform bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and vendor/customer account reconciliation

• Maintain stock/inventory records in Tally (stock groups, godowns, stock valuation)

• Prepare day book, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet reports as required

• Ensure timely TDS entries, payment tracking, and statutory compliance within Tally

• Coordinate with the accounts/finance team and auditors for month-end and year-end closing

• Troubleshoot basic Tally issues, manage backups, and maintain data accuracy

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or related field or done a course in same.

• Strong hands-on experience with Tally Prime (Tally ERP 9 experience also considered)

• Working knowledge of GST, e-Invoicing, e-Way Bill generation, and GST portal operations

• Good understanding of purchase/sales cycle, inventory management, and basic taxation

• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams

Good to Have

• Prior experience in Manufacturing

• Knowledge of TDS, payroll processing in Tally

• Experience integrating Tally with GST portal APIs or third-party e-invoicing tools
