A typical Tally/Accounts Executive role includes maintaining accounts in TallyPrime, recording sales and purchase transactions, receipts/payments, managing customer and vendor ledgers, bank reconciliation, invoicing, inventory, GST/TDS work, and preparing financial/MIS reports.
Tally Executive – Job Description
Main responsibilities:
Enter Sales & Purchase transactions in TallyPrime.
Enter Receipt, Payment, Contra & Journal vouchers.
Create and maintain customer/vendor ledgers.
Prepare GST invoices and maintain billing records.
Handle bank reconciliation (BRS) and cash book.
Check debtors and creditors and follow up on outstanding amounts.
Maintain stock/inventory records if the company uses inventory.
Assist with GST, TDS and other compliance work.
Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and other reports.
Maintain bills, vouchers and documents for audit.
Use Excel for reports, reconciliation and MIS.
Skills you should learn
TallyPrime + Accounting + GST + TDS + Excel
For a job, don't learn only Tally data entry. Current Accounts Executive postings commonly expect TallyPrime, accounting fundamentals, GST/TDS, bank reconciliation and Excel.
