Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong exposure to logistics and transport operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions related to fleet operations, freight billing, vendor payments, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. Experience in handling multi-branch accounting and transport-related transactions is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor revenue from freight, trip sheets, and transport billing.
Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors, and branch accounts.
2. Logistics & Transport Accounting
Verify trip sheets, diesel expenses, toll, driver payments, and route expenses.
Monitor vehicle-wise profitability and cost analysis.
Handle freight billing, e-way bills, and client invoicing.
Maintain vehicle loan accounts, EMI schedules, and interest calculations.
Track RTO payments, insurance, permits, fitness, and statutory renewals.
3. Payables & Receivables
Manage vendor payments (fleet owners, diesel suppliers, repair vendors).
Follow up on outstanding receivables and customer ledger reconciliation.
Maintain aging reports and ensure timely collections.
4. Taxation & Compliance
Handle GST return filing (GSTR-1, 3B), TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Reconcile GST input-output and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
5. Payroll & MIS
Oversee payroll processing for drivers and staff.
Prepare MIS reports on fleet cost, revenue, and profitability.
Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
Required Qualifications:
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred.
5–8 years of experience in accounting, preferably in logistics/transport industry.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and transport billing processes.
Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel (advanced level preferred).
Experience in handling multi-location branch accounting is an advantage.
