Job Description – Senior Accountant (Automobile Industry)
Department: Accounts & Finance
Position: Senior Accountant
Industry: Automobile / Automobile Dealership
Experience: 4–6 Years
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com
Job Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Job Responsibilities
Maintain daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Handle GST returns, TDS calculations, and other statutory compliances.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and perform regular ledger reconciliation.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and outstanding payments.
Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and daily financial transactions.
Handle automobile dealership accounting, including vehicle sales, spare parts, service revenue, and workshop expenses.
Reconcile OEM (manufacturer) statements, dealer incentives, and warranty-related transactions.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and compliance with company policies.
Verify invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and vendor payments.
Support monthly closing, annual closing, and audit activities.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST.
Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
Knowledge of TDS, GST returns, and statutory compliance.
Experience in automobile dealership accounting preferred.
Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage accounts independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
A responsible and detail-oriented candidate with strong accounting knowledge and relevant experience in the automobile industry, preferably in a dealership environment.
