Senior Accountant Manager – Banking Sector

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant Manager with 5+ years of experience exclusively in the banking sector. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in banking accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, and transaction review, with a solid understanding of banking processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations within the banking environment.

• Perform and oversee bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of banking transactions, ledgers, and balances.

• Review and resolve reconciliation differences, unmatched entries, and outstanding items.

• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and accounting schedules.

• Ensure accurate recording and classification of banking transactions.

• Monitor accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal banking policies.

• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting and reconciliation-related issues.

• Review month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to accounting and reconciliation processes.

• Support internal and statutory audits by providing required reports and documentation.

• Lead and mentor junior accounting team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the banking sector.

• Banking-sector experience is mandatory.

• Strong experience in reconciliation and accounting operations.

• Good understanding of banking transactions, ledgers, settlements, and financial controls.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

• Strong communication and team-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple accounting activities and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in banking accounting and reconciliation, who can independently manage accounting operations, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Note: Candidates without relevant banking-sector experience will not be considered.
