Senior Accountant – Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage day-to-day accounting entries and books of accounts.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Prepare and verify sales and purchase invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.

• Manage bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and regular bank transactions.

• Prepare and monitor customer and vendor ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation.

• Follow up for outstanding payments and receivables from customers.

• Handle vendor payments, purchase accounting, and outstanding payables.

• Prepare GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.

• Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of GST, TDS,3B , 2B , RETURN FILING and other statutory liabilities.

• Prepare monthly MIS reports, ageing reports, cash-flow statements, and other management reports.

• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and customers as required.

• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory purposes.

• Monitor debit/credit notes, expense booking, provisions, and adjustments.

• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.

• Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve ledger and reconciliation issues.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and accounting information.

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable laws.

• Handle accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime, MS Excel, and other ERP systems.

• Support management in financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, and decision-making.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP and MS Excel

• Good understanding of GST, TDS and taxation

• Excellent knowledge of ledger reconciliation

• Experience in B2B accounting and payment collection

• Good English communication and drafting skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to independently handle complete accounting operations.
