Position: Senior Accountant

Role Purpose
To oversee accounting operations, taxation compliance, financial controls, payroll support, import costing, and transaction monitoring while ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely reporting of financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Operations
Review and monitor daily financial transactions and accounting activities.
Check and respond to critical finance-related emails and communications on a daily basis.
Record and communicate receipt of payments for timely accounting updates and reconciliation.
Inform relevant departments regarding pre-credit alerts and coordinate preparation of disposal instructions.
Monitor financial entries and ensure accounting accuracy through regular verification and review processes.
Review work completed by team members and ensured compliance with accounting procedures.
Financial Controls & Review
Verify accounting entries and supporting documents for correctness and completeness.
Review weekly work outputs and accounting activities performed by team members.
Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and according to company procedures.
Maintain internal control practices and support process improvements.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Review GST statements and returns prior to filing.
Verify TDS calculations, deductions, and supporting documentation.
Review GST annual returns and ensure compliance with statutory requirements before submission.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely tax documentation and compliance activities.
Payroll & Employee Financial Coordination
Prepare salary statements for factory staff and workers.
Coordinate with factory personnel regarding TDS declarations and supporting documentation.
Ensure timely collection and verification of employee tax-related records.
Support payroll-related financial reconciliation and reporting activities.
Import Costing & Commercial Support
Prepare costing sheets for import consignments considering freight, duties, taxes, logistics, and related expenses.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
Maintain import costing records for management review and commercial analysis.
Reporting & MIS
Prepare and maintain finance-related reports and records.
Support management with periodic financial summaries and operational reports.
Assist in reconciliation, audit preparation, and financial analysis activities.

Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience with ERP/accounting systems: Tally Prime
Knowledge of GST and TDS filing processes
Familiarity with payroll processing and financial reporting tools
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field
CA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance preferred
5–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounts operations
