Designation - Senior Accountant – Taxation

About the Role

ARK Jain and Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Taxation to join our team at our Malad office. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GST compliance, taxation, and accounting processes, and will be responsible for managing end-to-end tax filings, reconciliations, and statutory compliance. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and support clients with taxation-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C

·         Perform GST reconciliations with books of accounts and resolve discrepancies

·         Handle Income Tax compliance, including preparation of tax computations and assisting in filing income tax returns

·         Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and accounting records

·         Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, and other applicable tax laws

·         Prepare and file TDS returns, reconciliation, and ensure timely payments

·         Coordinate with clients for documentation, clarifications, and compliance requirements

·         Assist in handling tax notices, assessments, and departmental communications

·         Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes

·         Support internal and external audits as required

·         Stay updated with the latest changes in GST laws, taxation, and compliance regulations

Skills and Qualifications

·         2 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a CA firm

·         Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) required

·         CA Inter

Technical Skills:

·         Strong knowledge of GST compliance, filings, and reconciliation

·         Good understanding of Income Tax and TDS provisions

·         Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Excel, and GST portals

·         Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)

Working Conditions:

·         Work Location: Malad, Mumbai
