Lead Analyst – Operations Finance Job Title: Lead Analyst – Operations Finance Summary: Momentive Business Services (MBS) provides exceptional support to global operations, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives operational excellence. The Global Shared Services team, based in India is integral to this mission, delivering comprehensive finance and business support. In this role within the Global Finance Shared Services (GSS–MBS) team in India, the Lead Analyst will partner with Business Finance leaders and collaborate with Operations Finance and SCM Finance teams to provide operations finance analytics and decision support across segments and plants. The role will generate insights on manufacturing cost, conversion cost, variances, inventory, OOS, and operational performance to strengthen understanding of the operations component of P&L. It will provide actual costing and cost flow analytics, bridging hybrid costing, standard costing, and traditional P&L views to support business discussions and operational decision-making. The position will also contribute to reporting standardization, process transformation, and scalable analytics capabilities through the MBS operating model. Responsibilities Include: Tasks and responsibilities of the position: Translate Business Finance priorities into operational analytics and plant-level interpretation, helping connect financial outcomes with manufacturing and supply chain drivers (“connecting the dots”) Enable visibility on conversion cost opportunities, cost benchmarking, and cost standardization practices across sites Generate operations finance insights across regions/plants through structured analysis of manufacturing costs, conversion cost, manufacturing variances, OOS trends, and operational performance drivers to enable Business Finance leaders to better understand the operations (Material cost + Conversion) component of their respective P&L Partner with Business Finance and Operations Finance leaders by delivering fact-based cost and operational insights to strengthen business decision-making Collaborate with SCM Finance to provide analytics on material cost, inventory, logistics cost, and supply chain performance drivers Provide actual costing and cost flow analytics, creating a bridge between hybrid costing approaches, standard costing structures, and traditional P&L views to improve understanding of operational financial outcomes, Cost drivers and cost behavior across plants Deliver Budget vs Actual vs Forecast operational cost analytics and generate insights to support discussions related to material pricing and conversion economics Contribute to MERP/ERP transformation initiatives and reporting/dashboard enhancements, ensuring alignment between Business Finance, Operations Finance, and MBS operating requirements Handle ad-hoc analytical requests from stakeholders and management to ensure timely insights and business continuity Ensure compliance with US GAAP / IFRS accounting standards and internal Momentive financial policies through consistent financial analysis and reporting standards Decision Making Authority: None Key Metrics Role is Accountable For: Strong expertise in operations finance, costing, and business partnering Advanced analytics and financial modelling Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Deep understanding of manufacturing, SCM, and value chain dynamics Qualitative Data accuracy & Global process Alignment Data Driven value added Insights Metrics Technology & Tools utilization (Internal and External) Key Relationships: Business Finance Leader Operations Finance Leader IT Team Cross functional team (as needed) Travel Requirements None Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: CMA / MBA degree required in finance, accounting, business, or related field Strong Financial Planning & Analysis Skillset based on experience in a finance role in the manufacturing Industry Total 10 years of industry Finance experience wherein 5-7 years of progressive Plant Finance Controlling experience ERP knowledge and experience (SAP knowledge is a plus) Experience working in a global environment Good interpersonal & English Communication skills (mandate) Pro-active attitude, pragmatic, Multitask handling and team player Organizational and flexible skills Preferred Qualifications: Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau and MS PowerPoint experience Exposure in Global Shared services set up is a Plus Key Competencies or Skills: Strategic Focus Engaged Leadership Agility Excellence Collaboration & Teamwork Accountability Qualifications: The following are required for the role CMA / MBA degree required in finance, accounting, business, or related field Strong Financial Planning & Analysis Skillset based on experience in a finance role in the manufacturing Industry Total 10 years of industry Finance experience wherein 5-7 years of progressive Plant Finance Controlling experience ERP knowledge and experience (SAP knowledge is a plus) Experience working in a global environment Good interpersonal & English Communication skills (mandate) Pro-active attitude, pragmatic, Multitask handling and team player Organizational and flexible skills What We Offer: At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
