Junior Accountant

Job Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in accounting software (Tally/ERP).

• Record loan disbursements, repayments, interest accruals, and foreclosures.

• Reconcile bank statements, cash, and loan accounts regularly.

• Maintain general ledger, journals, and vouchers.

NBFC-Specific Activities

• Accounting of loans, advances, EMIs, NPAs, and provisioning as per RBI norms.

• Interest income recognition and overdue interest tracking.

• Support the preparation of MIS reports related to the loan portfolio.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements as per IND-AS (if applicable)

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

• Assist in GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconciliation.

• Support TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing.

• Assist with RBI reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.

• Coordinate with auditors during statutory and internal audits.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, agreements, and vouchers.

• Support budgeting and expense monitoring activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance

• 1 year of experience in Accounts

• Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems

• Good knowledge of accounting standards

• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and RBI guidelines

• MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Good communication and coordination skills
