Junior Accountant – Remote

Position: Junior Accountant
Job Type: Full-Time | Remote
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month, based on experience and work quality

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our remote accounting team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping records.

• Record and categorize income and expenses accurately.

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Review invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare accounting schedules and reports.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.

• Maintain proper documentation and accounting files.

• Communicate with clients and team members for missing information or clarification.

• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned work.

Preferred

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounting for Canadian businesses.

• Knowledge of Canadian GST/HST is an advantage.

• Previous experience with remote accounting work is preferred.

Salary & Growth

₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month, depending on the candidate's experience, accounting knowledge, quality of work, and performance.

This is a fully remote position with opportunities to learn and grow in the accounting and bookkeeping field.
