JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT
Position: Accountant
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant who can independently manage the company's accounting operations, financial records, statutory compliances, and support the finalisation of financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts on a daily basis.
- Handle Balance Sheet finalisation and coordinate with management, auditors, and Chartered Accountants for final accounts.
- Prepare and reconcile Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and other financial reports.
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
- Handle and process vendor payments and ensure timely payment of expenses and statutory liabilities.
- Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS as per applicable regulations.
- Prepare and file TDS Returns within prescribed timelines.
- Handle other applicable statutory returns and compliance-related documentation.
- Ensure proper maintenance of supporting documents, invoices, vouchers, and financial records.
- Monitor outstanding payments, receivables, and payables.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documents and information during audits.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements, and company policies.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries as required by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel is essential.
- Strong experience in Balance Sheet Finalisation.
- Good knowledge of TDS calculation, payment, and return filing.
- Experience in handling vendor payments and bank reconciliations.
- Knowledge of GST and other statutory compliances will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Experience:
3–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands-on experience in financial statement finalisation, payments, TDS, and statutory returns.
Preferred Candidate:
A responsible and experienced professional capable of independently handling the company's accounts and coordinating effectively with management, auditors, banks, and statutory authorities.
