Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end billing for walk-in customers, online orders, and corporate clients.
Prepare accurate invoices including item details (design no., gross weight, net weight, purity, hallmark certificate number, making charges, GST, etc.).
Process payments through cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, digital wallets, and finance/EMI options.
Issue GST-compliant invoices and e-invoices wherever applicable.
Verify and update customer details, loyalty points, and scheme benefits during billing.
Coordinate with the sales team to ensure correct pricing and discounts are applied.
Handle exchange, return, and repair billing as per showroom policy.
Reconcile daily sales collection with physical cash, card slips, and digital transactions.
Maintain proper documentation of hallmark certificates, invoices, and delivery challans.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
Ensure compliance with jewellery industry regulations, tax laws, and showroom SOPs.
Provide excellent customer service at the billing counter and resolve billing-related queries.
Update stock and billing software in real-time to maintain inventory accuracy.
Assist in periodic stock audits and physical verification of high-value jewellery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Graduate in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or related field.
Experience: 1–4 years of experience in billing / cashiering, preferably in retail jewellery, luxury goods, fashion, or high-value retail showrooms.
Freshers with strong computer skills and internship experience in retail may also be considered.
Key Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in billing software / POS systems (e.g., Tally, custom jewellery ERP, or any retail management software).
Excellent knowledge of GST, invoicing, and tax compliance.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail (critical for jewellery weight & purity calculations).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle high-value transactions with integrity and professionalism.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Email).
Pleasant personality and customer service orientation.
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and festival seasons.
Preferred Attributes
Prior experience in jewellery retail (highly preferred).
