A Write-Off Recovery professional maximizes cash recovery from a portfolio of written-off or heavily delinquent Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) through direct borrower settlements, legal actions, and collateral liquidation.

Job Overview

• Role Purpose: Drive recovery targets and minimize bad debt losses from assigned write-off pools.

• Core Focus: Account closures, legal proceedings, asset repossession, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maximize Recovery: Execute closure strategies, debt settlements, and customer payment plans for written-off portfolios.

• Legal Execution: Initiate legal actions including SARFAESI enforcement, arbitration, FIR filings for fraud cases, and bank account attachments.

• Collateral & Asset Management: Coordinate the repossession, valuation, and profitable liquidation of seized properties or assets through digital platforms and local brokers.

• Vendor & Agency Oversight: Manage external collection agencies and in-house teams to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Data & Process Compliance: Utilize data analytics to prioritize portfolios and maintain accurate digital trail updates in CRM or collection systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.

• Experience: 2 to 6+ years in banking collections, NPA recovery, or bad debt management.

• Key Skills: Strong negotiation, legal framework knowledge (such as the SARFAESI Act), data analytics, and field/tele-collection coordination.
