Job Title: Accounts Manager

Job Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, GST compliance, statutory filings, and financial controls. The role includes leading and managing the accounts team, allocating responsibilities, ensuring compliance timelines are met, and providing financial insights and cost-saving inputs to management.
Key Responsibilities
GST & Statutory Compliance
Oversee GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, annual returns, and audits
Ensure timely filing of TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns
Handle GST notices, departmental queries, and coordination with consultants
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations
Accounting & Financial Control
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations)
Ensure accuracy and integrity of books of accounts
Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities
Maintain proper documentation, records, and audit trails
Team Management
Manage, guide, and supervise the accounts team
Allocate and distribute responsibilities among team members
Review team output to ensure accuracy and compliance
Train and upskill team members for efficiency and compliance readiness
Management Reporting & Financial Inputs
Prepare and present MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial summaries
Provide financial insights, cost analysis, and profitability reports to management
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Audit & Coordination
Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Assist in statutory audits, GST audits, and assessments
Liaise with banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA / CMA preferred)
Strong knowledge of GST laws, accounting standards, and compliance
Experience in managing and leading an accounts team
Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, Zoho)
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
High attention to detail with a compliance-first mindset
Experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, GST, and compliance
Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role preferred
