Job Title: Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
Industry: NBFC (Payday Loans / Short-Term Lending)
Job Objective:
Responsible for end-to-end accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, GST/TDS compliance, payroll, statutory filings, payments, invoices, month-end and year-end closing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Ensures compliance with statutory requirements and supports audit and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description (JD):
A. Bookkeeping & Financial Accounting Maintain day-to-day accounting records including journals, ledgers, and vouchers. Record all financial transactions accurately using Tally ERP / accounting software. Ensure accurate trial balance, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
B. Accounts Payable & Receivable Manage debtor and creditor accounts, ensure timely collection from customers and payments to vendors. Prepare and process invoices, bills, purchase orders, and payment vouchers. Ensure proper documentation for all transactions, including challans and payment proofs.
C. Taxation & Statutory Compliance -File GST returns, TDS returns, and ensure all statutory compliances (PF, ESI, professional tax, etc.). Maintain compliance records and prepare necessary documents for audits.
D. Payroll & Employee Benefits - Process monthly payroll accurately, including salaries, allowances, deductions, reimbursements. Maintain records of employee benefits and ensure timely statutory contributions.
E. Month-End & Year-End Activities Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and MIS reports. Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations. Prepare year-end accounts for statutory audit and tax filings.
F. Reporting & Stakeholder Management Provide accurate financial information to management and other stakeholders. Coordinate with banks, vendors, customers, and auditors as required.
G. Audit & Documentation Maintain proper documentation and support internal/external audits. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance/ CA dropout.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, payroll, GST/TDS, and month-end/year-end closing.
Proficient in Tally ERP / accounting software and MS Excel. Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, payroll, PF/ESI, and statutory compliance.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to independently manage the complete accounting process.
Good communication skills for dealing with stakeholders, auditors, and management.
