Accountant – TDS & GST Compliance

Position Overview

CA R J Soni & Associates is inviting applications for the position of Accountant – TDS & GST Compliance. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end direct and indirect tax compliances, ensuring accuracy in statutory filings, maintaining reconciliations, and liaising with tax authorities. This role requires a strong understanding of Indian tax regulations and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities – TDS Compliance

•       Compute, deduct, and deposit Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) in accordance with applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act.

•       Prepare, review, and file quarterly TDS returns including Forms 24Q and 26Q within prescribed timelines.

•       Generate, review, and issue TDS certificates (Form 16 and Form 16A) to employees and vendors.

•       Perform periodic reconciliation of TDS data with Form 26AS and internal books of accounts.

•       Handle notices, intimations, and queries received from the Income Tax Department and ensure timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities – GST Compliance

•       Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9.

•       Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) as per books of accounts with GSTR-2B and vendor data.

•       Prepare detailed GST workings, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for statutory filings.

•       Monitor GST liabilities and payments and maintain proper documentation of challans and returns.

•       Assist in handling GST assessments, audits, and departmental communications.

•       Ensure compliance with GST invoicing norms and e-way bill generation requirements.
