Job Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Executive – Accounts to manage day-to-day banking transactions, accounts receivable, customer collections, reconciliations and accounting activities. The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting, effective follow-up of outstanding receivables, smooth bank operations and timely preparation of financial and MIS reports.
Key Responsibilities
Banking & Payment Operations
Process daily bank payments through NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI and Cheques.
Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
Monitor daily bank balances and ensure effective fund utilization.
Coordinate with banks for payment processing, account maintenance and banking-related issues.
Verify and post bank receipts and payment entries in the ERP/accounting system.
Maintain documentation related to bank sanctions, renewals and other banking requirements.
Accounts Receivable & Customer Recovery
Follow up with customers for timely collection of outstanding payments.
Monitor customer ageing reports and identify overdue receivables.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment-related discrepancies.
Coordinate with Sales Team and customers regarding payment commitments and outstanding issues.
Maintain collection records and prepare regular recovery status reports.
Escalate long-pending and critical outstanding cases to management.
Accounting & Finance
Record and verify accounting transactions accurately in the ERP/accounting system.
Prepare and maintain customer and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate Debtors and Creditors Ledgers.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in audit requirements, documentation and statutory compliance activities.
Prepare MIS reports related to collections, banking transactions and cash flow.
Educational Qualification
B.Com / MBA – Finance
Additional professional accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience Required
5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance with hands-on experience in:
Bank transactions and payment processing
Accounts Receivable
Customer collections and recovery
Bank and customer reconciliations
ERP/accounting software
Experience with SAP, Tally Prime, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems will be preferred.
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of banking operations and payment processes.
Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and customer recovery.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS and basic accounting principles.
Good command of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas and data analysis.
Working knowledge of ERP/accounting software.
Ability to prepare and interpret ageing, collection, reconciliation and MIS reports.
