An Accounts Assistant provides vital clerical support to the finance department by processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, handling payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records. They ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage data entry, and assist with month-end reporting. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry & Records: Input financial transactions into accounting software, maintaining accurate, up-to-date ledgers and digital/physical files.

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expenses; generate customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable.

• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Financial Support: Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and preparation of monthly/annual financial reports.

• Compliance: Ensure all financial procedures comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Generally 2-4 years of experience in an accounting.

• Education: Degree in any field.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google apps (like google sheets) and familiarity with accounting software.

• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, high accuracy in numerical data entry, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication.
