Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant suitable for a job description:
Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
Record purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare and maintain invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and filings.
Perform bank, ledger, and account reconciliations.
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Assist senior accountants/management during audit and tax assessments.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for accounting-related matters.
Ensure accuracy of accounting data and compliance with company policies.
Work on accounting software such as Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
