Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts & Finance Executive with 6 months to 1 year of experience to join our finance team. In this role, you will handle day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with monthly closings. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to build a strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Step Accounting & Bookkeeping
Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (vendor invoices) and accounts receivable (customer invoicing).
Verify, classify, and post accounts data into the accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
Maintain and update expense trackers, petty cash logs, and employee reimbursement requests.
2. Banking & Reconciliation
Perform routine bank reconciliations to ensure internal ledgers match bank statements.
Assist in tracking incoming payments and following up on overdue receivables.
Prepare bank deposit slips and coordinate basic banking operations.
3. Compliance & Tax Assistance
Assist senior executives in compiling data for statutory compliances (such as TDS, GST, or local tax filings).
Ensure all financial documentation, physical and digital, is systematically filed and audit-ready.
4. Reporting & Support
Help prepare basic financial schedules and worksheets for monthly and quarterly closings.
Provide administrative and data-entry support to the senior finance manager during internal or external audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of core accounting or bookkeeping experience (including relevant internships).
Technical Skills:
Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or enterprise ERPs).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, VLOOKUP, data sorting, and formatting).
Soft Skills:
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Good communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential financial data.
