We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee financial reporting. In this role, you will reconcile complex banking transactions, prepare financial statements, and maintain internal controls to support the financial health and integrity of our institution.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with banking regulations.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash flows, general ledger accounts, interbank transactions, and clearinghouse activities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Assist in preparing mandatory central bank reports and ensure adherence to local statutory financial guidelines.
• Internal Controls: Monitor daily transactions for discrepancies, investigate variances, and enforce internal fraud-prevention controls.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required financial documentation and explanations.
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred).
• Experience: 2–4 years of accounting experience, specifically within a bank, credit union, or financial services environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in core banking software (e.g., Finacle, SAP, Flexcube) and advanced MS Excel capabilities.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, sharp attention to detail, and a deep understanding of banking laws and compliance standards.
