Accountant

Job Summary

The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documents.

• Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and payment vouchers.

• Prepare and update cash book, bank book, and ledger entries.

• Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.

• Reconcile bank statements and vendor/customer accounts.

• Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance data as required.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Generate MIS reports and financial statements for management review.

• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers.

• Maintain employee reimbursement and expense records.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required documents.

• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.

• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting and finance.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.

• Experience with Tally ERP, Busy, SAP, or other accounting software.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
