Job Summary:
The Accountant will assist with daily accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and contributing to various accounting functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining and updating financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
Prepare bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Support the senior accounting team with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and reports as required.
Prepare and file invoices to clients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payment.
Maintain and track fixed asset registers.
Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
Support other administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or previous junior roles are a plus).
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime or similar).
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Some experience with financial reporting.
Knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
Proactive and eager to learn.
