Roles and responsibilities:
Involves assisting finance teams with daily bookkeeping, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing invoices, and performing bank reconciliations
. It focuses on mastering accounting software (like Tally or SAP), maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations such as GST and TDS
Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers, vouchers, and journal entries
Accounts Management: Prepare, track, and process invoices, while assisting with accounts payable (payments) and accounts receivable (collections).
Reconciliation: Perform daily or monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Statutory Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of taxes, including GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and TDS.
Reporting & Audits: Support senior accountants in month-end and year-end closings and provide necessary documentation for internal or external audits
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Basic to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software like Tally Prime or SAP.
Knowledge: Foundational understanding of accounting principles, Indian taxation (GST, TDS), and financial regulations.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain data confidentiality.
