An Accounts Executive manages a company's day-to-day financial transactions, maintains ledgers, and processes accounts payable and receivable. They also ensure compliance with local financial regulations, support month-end closing, and prepare key financial statements like balance sheets and cash flow reports.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, record daily transactions, and assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports.
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, verify expense vouchers, and execute timely payments.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and issue accurate invoices, track incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and customer accounts to resolve financial discrepancies.
Compliance: Ensure financial compliance and assist during internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (b.com).
Experience: Typically 2–5 years of proven experience in corporate accounting or finance.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and hands-on experience with accounting software like Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and excellent communication skills
