An accountant manages, analyzes, and reports an organization’s financial transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and regulatory adherence. Key duties include reconciling invoices, preparing balance sheets and tax filings, managing budgets, and providing financial insights to management. They require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Recording: Collecting, maintaining, and reconciling bank statements, invoices, and general ledger accounts.
Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (cash flow, profit & loss, balance sheets)
Analysis: Reviewing financial data to provide insights on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
Technical: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., tally ) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, ethical behavior, and clear communication skills.
