Accountant

JOB Description for an accountant with 3 years of experience bridges the gap between junior and senior roles. It focuses on executing month-end closes, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, ensuring tax and regulatory compliance, and supporting senior management with financial data

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow. [1, 2, 3, 4]

• Reconciliation: Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies. [1, 2]

• Transactional Accounting: Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring vendor invoices are processed and client collections are monitored. [1, 2]

• Month/Year-End Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and accruals. [1]

• Tax & Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and assist with the preparation of corporate tax filings, GST/TDS (if applicable), and payroll. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

• Audit Support: Gather and prepare documentation, schedules, and reports to collaborate with internal and external auditors. [1]

• Budgeting & Analysis: Provide financial analysis to identify trends and assist management with budgeting and forecasting. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, BBA).

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Experience with ERPs or accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is highly preferred.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills
